we would love to welcome you to our farm where you can explore our wines with a guided tasting or enjoy our them by the glass, bottle or flight.  we also offer a variety of local fare to compliment your wine tasting experience

The Basics

Walk-ins are always welcome — and so are reservations! We'll do our best to accommodate you however you arrive, but reserving ahead helps us give you the best possible experience, particularly for indoor seating where space is more limited.  Reserve a table here.

Indoor Reservations

When choosing this experience, you'll select indoor seating in either our Main Tasting Room (including the Grotto) or our Lounge in the Living Room, which offers a mix of couch and table seating. Wherever you're seated, you may choose to do a featured tasting at one of our Tasting Room bars or enjoy wine by the glass, bottle, or flight.

Outdoor Reservations

When choosing this experience, you are reserving an outdoor table on our Patio, Terrace, Courtyard, Lawn Tent, or General Lawn.

• Patio – our main seating area, located at the front of the Tasting Room
• Terrace – an elevated seating area to the right of the Tasting Room
• Courtyard – located at the back of the Tasting Room
• Lawn – our only space without reserved table seating; located beyond the Patio, where you're welcome to bring your own picnic blankets or chairs and set up as you like

All outdoor spaces are shaded or covered, with the exception of the Lawn.

Once you're here, you may choose to do a featured tasting at one of our bars or enjoy wine by the glass, bottle, or flight.

Our outdoor spaces are dog friendly — all dogs must be on a leash while on the farm! Please note that dogs are not permitted indoors unless they are qualified service animals as outlined by the ADA.

FEATURED TASTING

Join us at any bar where a BAV Wine Educator will share a bit of the Black Ankle story and take you on an in-depth journey of our current releases. Wine club members receive VIP pricing for featured tastings. Reservations for tastings are not necessary!

Member Table-side Tasting

The Member Tableside Tasting allows you to have a quieter, more in-depth tasting option from the comfort of a table and away from the bustling atmosphere of the tasting bar.  Seated and guided by a wine educator, you will taste through the featured member tasting with a little more time to get into the nitty gritty.  The tasting usually takes about 10-15 minutes, and is offered by reservation only so we can have your table set and ready before you and your guests arrive. Like our traditional bar tastings, the table-side tasting is complimentary to members and their guests. After your tasting is complete the table is yours for as long as you would like to stay.

Specialty Experiences

Proposing at black ankle

Our Proposal Package is designed to take the stress out of planning your special day so you can concentrate on the important things! From breathtaking vineyard views to a personalized experience tailored just for you, we’ve thought of everything so you don’t have to. Whether it’s a private, intimate setting or a grand gesture, our team will work with you to create the perfect proposal. Our package includes one hour with our wonderful event coordinator, Celeste, prior to the proposal date as well as a dedicated coordinator to orchestrate your proposal the day of. You'll also receive a guaranteed table reservation for three hours with a dedicated server (plus a special take-home gift from BAV for the happy couple). The package is priced on tiers, so you can keep the day just between the two of you, or invite family and friends out to celebrate! All you need to focus on is the moment—and we’ll handle the rest. Let us help you create a memory that will last a lifetime.

Or if you need a little more cloak-and-dagger in your proposal planning, use the subject line "Plumbing Repairs" - we will know what you mean, but we think its a pretty safe bet that your future fiancé won't take too much of an interest and spoil the surprise!

Large Party Options

Sometimes your group stretches to beyond the limits of a regular reservation.  While we are great believers in "the more the merrier" a little advance planning can help us to ensure that your visit goes smoothly.

We are proud to offer a food menu designed especially for larger groups, thoughtfully created so your food can be prepared and ready when your party arrives. Built with fresh ingredients by Chef Tony and the Terrace Kitchen team, these dishes are meant to be shared around the table alongside a good bottle of wine—making it easy for everyone to settle in and enjoy the afternoon together. This is an optional add-on to your reservation!

Terrace Gatherings

The Terrace Gathering is a Semi-Private Experience that is perfect for Large Groups!

Large groups are considered parties of 12-25 guests.  For these groups we offer large table seating with access to enhanced experiences to entertain your parties. Groups will be hosted on our Outdoor Terrace, offering panoramic views of our vines to set the scene for your soiree.

Reserve a table for your next large party celebration today!

Terrace Gatherings require a pre-payment of $18/guest. The payment you make guarantees you seating tailored to your group size and dedicated staff and bar service. All reservations for this experience are three and half hours.

Lawn Only Reservations

Join us for a relaxed, picnic-style visit on the beautiful lawn at Black Ankle Vineyards. With sweeping vineyard views and plenty of open space, a Lawn Reservation is perfect for those looking to enjoy great wine in a laid-back, outdoor setting.

Please note: Lawn Reservations do not include access to any tables or seating in our Patio, Terrace, or Courtyard areas. Lawn guests are welcome to bring their own picnic blankets, folding chairs, small tables, or even pop-up tents for shade to create their own cozy setup.

Bring along your favorite snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, or feel free to order a delicious spread from The Terrace Kitchen. Well-behaved dogs on a leash are always welcome. Due to the nature of our liquor license, we cannot allow any outside alcohol. Please let your guests know that prior to arriving.
