2022 Sauvignon Blanc

 


Rich with white peach, passion fruit and hints of grapefruit and meyer lemon, this wine is beautifully balanced with creamy, grassy notes and good minerality.

The Sauvignon Blanc Process

This wine is 80% from Live Edge Vineyards, and 20% from a block of vines at Black Ankle Vineyards. The Sauvignon Blanc is barrel-fermented. It was on its lees for 7 months and stirred once a week, and went through malolactic fermentation. For this wine, and all of our grapes from Live Edge Vineyards this year, fermentations went unusually slowly. Whites are fermented cool, and usually takes a month or 5 weeks. The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc fermented from October through February!
